چکیده

Through allelopathic interactions, plants may either suppress competing species or promote those that help them better adapt to their environment. The purpose of this research was determine how the root exudates 15 common weeds affected germination wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). Every other day, seeds were dispersed over Petri dishes (with filter paper) and pots garden soil) treated with 1 mL 5 aqueous exudates, respectively. Distilled water had highest rate at 86.33% lowest 64.00% (p = 0.001) for Commelina benghalensis in dish containing exudates. seed percentage pot condition lowest, 68.45% 0.004), Solanum nigrum, while control 87.23%. Similarly, shoot length, 12.01 cm 0.0025) Mikania micrantha, length 2.17 0.0048) Leucas aspera, recorded, whereas 19.13 3.46 cm, respectively, dishes. In addition, growth 9.72 0.0004) micrantha 4.34 0.0019) Spilanthes acmella, 20.13 6.42 culture. Furthermore, seedlings, biomass studies T. showed elevated malonaldehyde (MDA) levels both cultures. However, chlorophyll a b levels, as well antioxidant enzymes catalase (CAT) superoxide dismutase (SOD), are lower than group. Both cultures compared grown plates. dry weight seedlings cultivated demonstrated its considerable influence. This found all studied could have capacity impede development seedlings. These inhibitory effects higher

[Allelopathic effects of cultured Cucurbita moschata root exudates].

By using the techniques of tissue culture, bio-assay and laboratory analysis, this paper studied the effects of the allelopathic chemicals from pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata) roots on the seed germination and seedling growth of pumpkin, wheat (Triticum aestivum), and radish (Raphanus sativus). The pumpkin root was cultured on a sterile B5 media, and the concentrations of macro- and microelements,...

Allelopathic effects of Chromolaena odorata (L.) King & Robinson and Mikania micrantha H.B.K. on three selected weed species

The use of chemical pesticides leads to negative impacts such as pesticide residue problem and weed resistance. Thus, an economical and environmentally safe method such as allelopathy needs to be explored for controlling weeds in agricultural areas. Therefore, a study was conducted to determine the allelopathic effects of the aqueous leaf extract and leaf debris (incorporated into the soil) of ...

Allelopathic Effects of Cool-season Turfgrass Mixture Clipping Extract on Four Weed Species and Detection of the Phenolic Compounds

In order to determine aqueous extract effects of cool-season turfgrass mixture clipping on germination and seedling growth of four weed species, laboratory and outdoor pot experiments were done at the experimental laboratory and greenhouse of the Doroud Parks and Landscape Organization, located in Doroud, Lorestan, Iran. The first factor was the concentration of sport turfgrass clipping extract...

Allelopathic effects of apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) root on some crops and weeds

Allelopathic effect of apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) root on some crops and weeds was investigated in two independent experiments. First, the effect of concentrations aqueous extract of apricot root (AAR) was assayed on the seed germination of Cicer arietinum L., Phaseolus vulgaris L., Triticum aestivum L., Zea mays L., Amaranthus retroflexus L., Secale cereal L., and Avena ludoviciana Durieu. ...

Allelopathic Effects of Sisymbrium irio L. and Descurainia sophia (L.) Schur on the Germination of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

An experiment was conducted under controlled conditions to study the effect of water extract of leaves, shoots and roots of either Sisymbrium irio L. =SISIR and/or Descurainia sophia (L.) Schur =DESSO on the germination and primary growth of wheat. A split-split plot experiment in CRD with three replications was used. The main plots were the type of weed: i.e. SISIR and DESSO and the sub-plots ...
